We caught up with Afro Kings about the event and this is what they had to say. . .
Over the years, we’ve flown in enough acts straight from Zimbabwe and South Africa, and forgotten the countless talented DJs, recording artists and dance groups we have in our very own backyard.
It’s time to give our local artists back the spotlight.
That’s why this summer, AFROKINGS and Zim Elite PR will be collaborating to bring you #ZimCarnival, the biggest UK-Zimbabwean gig of the season.
When: Saturday 26th August 2017.
Where: Boxxed, Birmingham.
The carnival will be headlined by Charlie Kay, and a select number of artists like Kazz AKA Mr_Boomslang will be given the exciting chance to perform for crowds of up to 900 people. Premium performance slots will be awarded to the acts that have the highest number of fans in attendance.
Some of the acts you can look forward to watching at the carnival will include Sean Focus, DJ Kojo, Bre Musiq, DJ Judge Jo, Simply Dubz, eJive and more acts to be announced.

We will kick the event off at 2pm on the 26th August with live DJ sets, where carnival goers can enjoy BBQ food, drinks, shisha offers and support upcoming Zimbabwean businesses including Mutupo World, Harare Hustler and Cooking with Caz.
