AUDIO ALERT: Kazz drops new single “SWEET JEALOUSY”

KAZZ UNVEILS BRAND NEW SINGLE ‘SWEET JEALOUSY’

On the back of his latest hit singles ‘Chimoko’ and ‘Celebration’ with DJ Terry Moyaz, which were released over the summer, award winning UK-based Zimbabwean Afropop and R&B artist and producer KAZZ aka Mr Boomslang is back with his brand new single titled ‘SWEET JEALOUSY’ out now via 6060 Music Group, which comes shortly after the announcement that KAZZ will be headlining his biggest New Year’s Eve gig titled ‘2020 Celebration’ back in his home country Zimbabwe.

Produced by Joey Stickz, who has worked with Cherri Voncelle, Griminal, and Ricardo Williams, among others, as well as the likes of MTV and BET, ‘Sweet Jealousy’ is a buttery smooth R&B offering with infectious Afropop leanings, which sees KAZZ singing passionately and waxing lyrical about the phases of jealousy that many relationships go through at some point.

Backed by catchy bass guitar and drum arrangements, KAZZ shows off his glorious vocal abilities and relatable songwriting skills, to great effect all around. Revered for his raw energy and magnetism, and for being one of the hardest working African pop artists in the UK and Zimbabwe, KAZZ is a seminal frontrunner of the fast-growing Afropop/R&B movement coming out of southern Africa, and exciting and fascinating the rest of the world in the past few years.
Highly recommended if you like artists like Davido, Wizkid, Maleek Berry, Chris Brown, Shakka or WSTRN, KAZZ has also been championed by the biggest tastemakers across the UK and Africa, such as BBC 1Xtra, Trace Africa, Channel O, iHeart Radio, Zambezi Magic, and BBC Introducing, among others.

Speaking about Sweet Jealousy’, Kazz says, “the idea that Jonah Sithole and I had when writing the song was to bring light to the fact that, most (not all) relationships, at one point in time, go through phases of jealousy. You get a little whisper in your ear or a little voice in your head that plays with your emotions. Like that ‘too good to be true’ feeling that makes you question things even when there’s no reason for doubt at all. I think this song will resonate with so many people. Humans complicate things way more than needed sometimes and that’s what gave us the inspiration for this concept.
We hope you love it!”
